Math & Computer Science Tutoring – Learning Center

易胜博 Math & Computer Science tutors are here to support you in your classes. Our tutors are specialists in the 易胜博 curriculum. They are trained to not just give you answers but to focus on helping you understand concepts. They are located in Goddard Library, Room GL-235. Tutoring is FREE for 易胜博 students.

We offer both in-person and online tutoring.

  • For in-person tutoring, go to the Learning Center room GL-235. Tutors are available on a drop-in basis.
  • For online tutoring, you can send a question via email. See the instructions below for how to contact us.

How to Contact Us

1) Request a One-on-One Tutoring Session


Use the button above to make an appointment. You can choose to meet in person or online. If you choose online tutoring, you will receive a confirmation email containing a Zoom link for the tutoring session.
If you do not see a response in your inbox, please check your junk or clutter mailbox.
If you can not find a time that works for you, email LCMath@mng-cz.com with your requested time.



2) Submit a Question for an Email Response

E-mail your question to: LCMath@mng-cz.com

In your email, please include the following information: Star ID, Course name and instructor, Chapter/Section, and your question. If possible, attach a screenshot of the question or your work.

If your question is about a computer science program, please provide a zip file of your code or a link to Github.

We will respond within one business day. Please check your junk or clutter mail box if you do not see a response in your inbox.

 

Other Sites for Math Help 

In addition to the services offered by our own 易胜博 Math tutors, there are many other sites that provide videos, step-by-step instructions and practice problems.

Tutor.Com
易胜博 has contracted with tutor.com to provide 24/7 online access to a tutor. You may find this useful when you have a question outside of the Learning Center Math tutoring hours (evenings or weekends). You must access the tool through D2L. On the D2L home page, scroll down to Learning Resources, and click on Tutor.Com. Please watch this video for a brief overview of this service:  Tutor.Com Instructions

Professor Leonard: Calculus 1 playlistThese are great videos and they correspond very well to the sections in your Calculus 1 text book. However, they are long. They are full length class lectures, typically over an hour for each section.
